Experience :
Role purpose |
- 15 to 20 years' relevant experience in design and development department from reputed reciprocating compressors
- Industry experience in the mechanical design of components for reciprocating compressors
- Compressor component & sub-system design responsibility including reverse engineering for core HP compressor block, Design and / or re-design new and existing product lines
- Localisation & reverse engineering of compressor bock components & accessories
- Manage multiple reciprocating product lines to improve design, performance and /or the manufacturing process till product streamlining.
-To support other functions as per requirements for achieving company goals

Knowledge & Skills: |
- Knowledge of prototyping quick turn design of mechanical prototypes and assemblies, external agencies coordination for data and model analysis
- Fluency in English & knowledge of German language will be added advantage

Roles and Responsibilities |
- Design of different components of compressor assembly like piston and piston rings, cylinders, running of frame, connecting rod and crankshafts with assembly stack up
- Developing casting / forging components with machining drawings with backup design calculations
- Mechanical design and analysis of components such as bearings, shaft sales and compressor motion work components
- Product cost effective designs detail parts drawings and generate associated bills of materials and compressor sizing
- Ability to work closely with designers / drafters and participate in drawing reviews
- Development of prototype compressor and test activities for design validation and performance ratings. Hand on experience with diagnostic and testing during development.
- Application knowledge of compressor related international / ASME / API codes and standards. Familiar with EU standards for respective machinery and also familiar with EU material standards.
- Vendor document / drawing review and component selection
- Should lead development task independently including basic knowledge of other disciplines like manufacturing QA and E&I specifically related to interfacing with main compressor block staff and overseas principle
